Sahara Journey: A Multi-Day Experience Through Morocco’s Desert

Sahara Journeys, Designed Around You

From golden-hour camel treks across quiet dunes to candlelit dinners beneath a sky filled with stars, the Sahara reveals itself slowly.

Each journey is designed privately — allowing you to move through Morocco’s southern landscapes at a rhythm that feels natural. Along the way, you pass through mountain passes, ancient kasbahs, palm-lined valleys, and small Berber villages where traditions remain deeply rooted in the land.

A Slower Way to  the Desert. Some travelers spend a single night in the dunes. Others choose to linger longer — walking the sands at sunrise, sharing tea with local families, or simply experiencing the rare quiet that defines the Sahara.

Each route is curated thoughtfully, balancing Morocco’s landscapes, culture, and moments of stillness along the way. If the Sahara is on your list, I would be happy to design the journey with you.

A 5-Day Sahara Desert Journey
from Marrakech or Fez

Your journey to the Sahara can begin from Marrakech or Fez.
I will assign a private dedicated chauffeur to meet you at your hotel and the road gradually climbs into the High Atlas Mountains.

The route winds through villages, ancient caravan crossings, and the earthen Kasbahs before continuing south toward Morocco’s desert landscapes.

The first evening can be experienced deep within the Atlas foothills, where the road narrows into a dramatic canyon carved by centuries of wind and water.

Sculptural cliffs of rose-colored stone, glowing softly as the sun begins to set. Small kasbahs and guesthouses sit quietly along the valley floor, surrounded by orchards and winding mountain roads.

The atmosphere is peaceful and intimate. Dinner is unhurried. The mountains grow quiet after dark.

Together, let's make this experience uniquely yours!

let's begin

Your next stop for the night will be in one of Morocco’s beautiful flourishing Oasis. It is a paradise of palm and olive trees dotted with Kasbahs and small villages.

Explore by foot, or by donkey this breathtaking palm grove filled with olive trees and other fruit trees surround the small arid paths that lead to the Kasbahs, some of which date from the 17th century and can be visited.

Come back and enjoy a drink by the pool. You will sleep tonight at one of the Kasbahs hotels unique to the area.

This morning after a slow morning and a delicious brekfast.
You will start your way back to Marrakech, you will visit Ksar Ait-Ben-Haddou – you will cross famous 340 bends of the Tizi n Tichka pass. This amazing zigzag feat of French engineering that climbs to 2,260m replaced the ancient route of the camel trains on their arduous journey from Timbuktu to Marrakech, bearing gold, spices and trade. Once you pass over the Tiz n’Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains, you will end in Marrakech, the Red city.
